Follow these simple steps to give your Hard Disk a custom 3D color icon:


Step 1.  Choose a 3D icon and click on it once to select it as shown below.

Step 2.  Select Get Info from the File menu as shown below.

Step 3.  A window displaing information about the icon file (shown below) will appear.  Click on the icon featured in the top left-hand corner of the window.  Once clicked, a black box will form around the icon indicating that it has been selected.

Step 4.  Select Copy from the Edit menu.  Close the window.

Step 5.  Select the the Hard Disk that you want to feature the new icon by clicking once on its icon as shown below.

Step 6.  Select Get Info from the File menu as instructed in Step 2.  A window displaing information about the Hard Disk (shown below) will appear.  Click on the Hard Disk icon featured in the top left-hand corner of the window.  Once clicked, a black box will form around the icon indicating that the it has been selected.

Step 7.  Select Paste from the Edit menu.  The choosen 3D color icon will now appear inside the selected icon box as shown below.  Close the window.

That's all, you're done!  Your Hard Disk will now feature the new icon as shown below.
